Review
RAR-Password Cracker version-4.12 is a software developed to recuperate forgotten passwords and to regain the password protected data. It is programmed only for RAR/WINRAR archive files of version 2.x and 3.x. It gives two options to the end user to regain the password. The first is by using a brute force attack which tries all the combinations of the characters provided in a predefined character set to regain the password. Brute force is the most easy in implementation and most time consuming approach to recover passwords. The second approach is the dictionary attack that uses strings from a provided dictionary and finds that lost password. But the dictionaries are to be purchased for registered version.
The software provides a step by step method to regain passwords with a user-friendly interface and is also easy to use. The software can be interrupted in between and restarted again later. But it requires a high performance processor and the CPU usage in more than 50% that is 50 times as much as required for the OS. The memory usage is about 550mb. It can handle multiple files at a time but slows down the other processes. |
